People say that stars should have different standards than the rest of the world well I don't think that is true at all. I think that stars and all the other people in the world should be held to the same standards. This essay is going to give you the reason for why I think this statement is true. Here are three of them.
My first reason is that they are human beings just like us they are just more know and that doesn't give them an excuse to do stupid things. Some stars do drugs or make stupid comments. If any one else in the world did this they would be criticized or sent to jail, but if stars did it they are criticized but then it is forgotten and if they do drugs they usually get a fine or something like that.
My next reason is they think that money will buy them out of the things they do. Like for example Nike bought that video of Lebron James getting dunked on but the story still got out. They used there money to try and cover up something but it didn't work. Of course that isn't the worst story of a celebrity trying to cover up something that they couldn't with money.
My last reason is that they need to be held to the same standard so they won't do as many stupid things. For example if they were held to a standard were being nice was good then if they weren't nice they wouldn't make it as a star. This would happen because people wouldn't want to be a fan of someone that if they asked for a autograph they wouldn't want the person to blow them off. If someone in the real world did this the would have no friends what so ever.
These are my reasons for why celebs should be kept to the same standards. I hope you side with me. Thank you for reading.

The Net-Generation Essay
People say that the "net-generation" is a bunch of spoild kids and teens that need there parents to protect them and think the world revolves around the. They also say that all the new websites like YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace are only used for telling peoplel what the person is doing 24/7 which makes it sound like the person just thinks about themselves. I on the other hand think that not all the net-generation think just about themsevles and aren't spoiled at as much as these people say. Here is my argument for this thesis.
My first argument is that there are many organizations started and ran by teenagers and young adults. I have heard of many different teens that collect money or supplies for people around the world. Take the Haiti earthquake that happened last week there are many different stories of young people that were in Haiti (before the earthquake) helping the people there with many different things. Why if young people in the world think only of themselves those college students were in a third world country were there is deases, hardly any food or clean water helping them that doesn't make any sense.
My second example is many different schools around the country have raised money from the students to help people who the havn't ever met. For example this last year before christmas our school raised more than $7000 dollars for people that most of the kids didn't even know just so they could have a christmas. To me that doesn't sound like those kids that donated were spoiled or that they only think about themselves.
My last argument is that many people that aren't in the net-generation use and have a Facebook and MySpace and watch movies on YouTube. For example on my mom's Facebook (who isn't a part of the net-generation) she has 70-100 friends that are her age. So it isn't true that those website are used only by only the net-generation. Also you could go onto YouTube and find many movies that are made by people outside the net-generation.
Those are my arguments for why I think that the net-generation is a bunch of spoild brats who run to there mommies for protection from there big bad boss or teacher.
